STAR Center adds new course, Advanced Fire Fighting Refresher, to curriculum

STAR Center has added a new one and one-half (1.5) day Advanced Fire Fighting Refresher course to the curriculum. This course will be needed by American Maritime Officers members and applicants renewing their STCW Advanced Fire Fighting (A-VI/3) Endorsement who have NOT accrued 360 days of sea service in the past five (5) years.

The new course will be offered in conjunction with other STCW-required classes - three-day Basic Training Refresher and four-day Proficiency in Survival Craft (Lifeboat). The start dates for the battery of three courses are:

July 15
December 9

All eligible AMO members and applicants in need of this training are welcome to submit an application to attend.
