U.S. Coast Guard: Notice to all mariners working on vessels subject to the STCW Convention

The U.S. Coast Guard's National Maritime Center has issued a bulletin reminding mariners that amendments to the STCW Convention approved in 2010 will take effect January 1, 2017, including the requirement to have completed STCW gap closing training, ECDIS requirements, renewal of certain STCW endorsements, and qualified assessor issues.
