'Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the officers and crew of the El Faro'

The following letter was sent to AMO National President Paul Doell by International Longshore & Warehouse Union Canada President Mark Gordienko and Secretary Treasurer Bob Dhaliwal.

The Officers, Members and Staff of ILWU Canada would like to send our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the Officers and Crew of the El Faro. We were deeply saddened to hear of the tragic loss of the crew on board this ship.

Through our affiliation with the ITF we continue to support the good health and prosperity of seafarers all over the world. We are always ready to lend a helping hand to our Brother/Sister Seafarers whenever they may find themselves in need.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of our lost Brothers.
