Ocean Ships files protest of Watson Class contract award
At the beginning of September, Military Sealift Command notified Patriot Contract Services, a non-AMO company, that it was the apparent successful bidder on the contract for the operation of the eight Watson Class large medium-speed roll-on/roll-off vessels.

The incumbent AMO-contracted operator of the LMSRs, Ocean Ships Inc., has filed a protest of the contract award. The ships in the Watson Class are the USNS Charlton, USNS Dahl, USNS Pomeroy, USNS Red Cloud, USNS Sisler, USNS Soderman, USNS Watkins and USNS Watson.

AMO will keep the membership informed of all developments.
