AMO membership cards to replace books
American Maritime Officers will be distributing new membership cards to all AMO book members. The membership card will replace the membership book as verification of AMO book membership status.

Each membership card will include the name and book number of the AMO member to whom it is issued, as well as the year the member joined the union.

"In this age of digital recordkeeping, and with most AMO members paying dues electronically or by mailing payments to Member Services, the old membership book with multiple pages for logging payments has become obsolete," said AMO National President Tom Bethel. "The card is an attractive solution to provide AMO book members with a convenient means of identification."
