AMO secures gains in new agreement with Express Marine |

American Maritime Officers has secured a new three-year agreement with Express Marine covering all chief engineers and assistant engineers in the company's Jones Act fleet, which operates in the mid-Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico.
"The committee should be commended for securing an agreement that provides solid increases each year to the AMO engineers working in Express Marine's tug and barge fleet," said AMO National Vice President for Inland Waters Charles Murdock. The committee also secured all actuarially required contributions to the AMO benefit plans. Serving on the AMO contract negotiating committee in Camden, N.J., with Murdock were Shop Steward and Chief Engineer David Harris, Second Engineer Bobby Greggs, and Third Engineer George Greggs. Tugs in the Express Marine fleet operated under contract with AMO are the Duty, Honor, Freedom, Baltimore, Consort and Escort, as well as six dry bulk barges. |
