Crowley Maritime earns 2011 Safe Working Practices Award

Crowley Maritime Corporation has earned the 2011 Safe Working Practices Award from the American Maritime Safety (AMS) Safety advisory committee.

Crowley was one of three companies selected from a group of more than 400 vessel operators to receive 2011 AMS safety awards. Crowley will be presented with the Safe Working Practices Award at a ceremony in New York City in October. The safety awards recognize vessel operators for their proactive efforts toward achieving safe and responsible practices.

American Maritime Safety Inc. is a non-profit and tax-exempt maritime trade association established to facilitate the maritime industry's compliance with the international shipping protocols and U.S. Coast Guard regulations pertaining to drug and alcohol testing.
